Lusaka, in the neighboring country of Zambia was my birthplace on November 1, 1979. Well, even with my humble beginnings, as a boy, I always had dreams of conquering the world, becoming a rocket scientist and discovering worlds and galaxies out there.
I imitated what the grownups were doing, especially my late dad, when he and his friends were singing. They had a great impact and influence on my music career. It's from those very humble beginnings that it all began. Later at junior high in Zambia, my friends and I formed an acappella group called ABX after listening and imitating groups like Kings Messengers, All 4 one, Boys II Men, Vocal Union, Take 6, Cathedrals and others. I sang baritone and lead which I still do and am still trying to perfect the art.
My passion for music grew and I started rearranging songs and gradually writing as well. In 1999, after moving to Namibia, we met the Mario trio in the Kavango region in Rundu, After my family and I sang in church, the Mario family introduced themselves as they were also from a singing family and members of the youth choir.
Very quickly, the Marios, my brother, and I were singing together, and before long, VM6 was born. From a boy's dream, that wasn't enough, so I studied IT though music is my first love! My childhood dream has just begun though it has not led me to be a rocket scientist but as Jones puts it, music takes me to other worlds and galaxies.
"Watch this space" I should say: I love my space and I am crazy about camping, adventure, volleyball, and movies. Call me the definition of fun because what you see is definitely what you get.
