As the New Year celebrations commence across the world, we'd like to show our appreciation to all of you for being part of VMSIX. Your contribution by attending VMSIX events, buying our records and also by clicking on I like on our face book page has allowed VMSIX to grow astronomically in 2011

This year starts at a great pace the group has not yet officially resumed however, 10 January 2012 is the month we are starting with our outstanding Classic recordings. We are officially getting in the studio and hope to pull the album through to the end of this month (January 2012). The long awaited classic album will be released on 3rd March 2012. VMSIX will also be releasing a full A Capella CD later this year.

The main highlight for this year is the first ever International Vocal Festival VMSIX will be hosting. The Windhoek International Vocal Festival is an initial idea of VMSIX to bring groups together from different background of music origin and country and share the common love of music. This will be the first time Namibia will host such a gathering. The dates of the Festival 29 August - 1 September 2012, the festival will focus mainly on Workshops, Training and Shows and we hope to attract singers and lovers of music from (SADC) Southern Africa. 

Topic concetration: Arts and Culture, Master classes & Music business workshops.

Mission & Objective

The mission of the Festival is to boost and make local A Capella and International A Capella visible, valued, enjoyed and easily accessed by the people of Windhoek and Namibia to appreciate the work of local and international artist in A cappella community and industry, equally important, to provide opportinities for VMSIX and all other A cappella groups participating.
